The crystals hold their own vibration depending on the minerals and physical formations they embody however they themselves do not do the healing work; it is the energy and intention of the person who is holding it and channeling their intentions through the crystal that does the healing.

Crystals have been helping and healing humanity and mother earth since time began. First and foremost crystals are amplifiers and transmitters of energy so it is imperative that prior to working with crystals as a healing modality that the work on purifying and balancing ones self and mastering ones ego has begun so that the energies and intentions given to the crystals are of only the highest integrity.

One constant and reliable side effect of working with crystals is to expect change.

They are profound at instigating change and supporting you through such times. As with any healing modality be it plant medicine, breath work, or crystals they all have 3 main principles when working with them; RESPECT, INTEGRITY, MEDITATION / SELF AWARENESS. 

Other than what I have already mentioned, there aren’t too many other “rules” when working with crystals. Depending on their mineral make up, colour, shape and creation process some are more favourable over others at specific goals or intentions. For example smoky quartz, tourmaline and amethyst are fantastic for helping with cancer treatment but you don’t want to give a cancer patient a clear quartz because of it’s very intense amplifying abilities / vibration can be counter productive to treatment.
